Beginning Stained Glass

Class Description

This class introduces you to copper foil techniques! You will complete one small project and will be furnished the pattern to make more. This is a wonderful class to start you off in your new and exciting hobby! Students will be provided all supplies and tools. No experience required. Intermediate Stained Glass

$85.00 (2-Days, 9am-12pm)

Class Description

If you have completed the Beginning Stained Glass course, this will take you to the next level. Learn advanced cutting skills, lead method, tricks for laying out patterns, creating patterns and brush up on those soldering skills. You will learn how to reinforce larger panels. Students supply their own pattern, tools and supplies. Must have stained glass experience. Sign up with a friend and both of you can take a 10% discount.

Ground Floor BASICS of Fusing

$85.00 (1-Day, 10am-1pm)

Class Description

Come explore the basics of glass fusing in this fun filled one day Workshop. We take colored glass, cut it into shapes and fuse the individual cut pieces into one piece using a kiln. Make a tile, jewelry pendant and one other project. Explore the variety of colors available to the glass fuser. The instructor has over 10 years of experience with glass. Your final piece will be showcased on my website! Sign up with a friend and both of you can take a 10% discount. Pick up of your art piece the following day.

Cabochon Wire Wrapping

$60.00 + Material costs

Class Description

This 3-hour class will introduce you to the fine art of Wire Wrapping. Learn how to make fantastic wire wrapped jewelry. No solder or glue, just sterling silver wire and simple tools! Only the wire wraps hold the jewelry together.
You can bring your own cabochon or use one from the instructor’s stash. In this class you will learn about wire gauges, hardness, shapes of wire and how they are used in the jewelry making process, plus the various tools used and their purpose. Your unique finished piece will have taught you the correct way to measure wire for your design, make a bundle, make a wire wrap and to finish with a bail.

Workshop Description

If fusing, one kiln firing is included. Cutting surface, grinder, band saw, wet band saw, and Morton Glass Cutting System available. I will be available for advice and assistance. Students supply their own pattern, tools and supplies.

Workshop Description

Learn how to convey the ambiance of nature by enticing viewers to step by layering various forms of glass. Gain valuable insight into glass placement, torch work, frit usage, coldworking and much more. Class includes manipulating images for translation into glass and observation exercises. Dive into the process of kiln techniques, placement of glass stringers, rods, frit layers that represent a playful balance of nature and control. Everything from creating a unique piece to mounting your finished piece. Must have previous fusing experience.
