Redwood Forest

Take a hike in the Redwood National Park and see how tiny you are against their massive trunks!  These incredible trees can create a sense of wonder and awe as you stand in their shadow.   The mighty giants of the forest.  They typically take around 500 to 700 years to reach full maturity and to develop a massive trunk and root system.  They grow on average 2 to 3 feet per year.

This Naturescape piece is made completely in various forms and colors of fused glass, (powder, frit, sheet, rods, stringers, etc), The glass goes through multiple kiln sessions at various temperatures.  Torch work and coldworking help build the depth and textures.  The sky is done in grays, blues, and shades of spruce clouds.
Mounted on brushed aluminum with two (2) riveted hooks in the back, making the piece very secure.  The panel may look heavy, but it is less than 5 lbs.
