Winter’s Coming Soon

If you're from the States and have winter snow, there's a certain color of sky that lets you know the cold weather is coming soon.  The color is a deep blue, with just a hint of heavy clouds.  Very eerie to look at.  Time to stock up, bring out the chains for the wheels of the car, put away items in the yard, and cover the plants.  Winter will be here before you know it.

This Naturescape piece is made completely in various forms and colors of fused glass, (powder, frit, sheet, rods, stringers, etc), The glass goes through multiple kiln sessions at various temperatures.  Torch work and coldworking help build the depth and textures.  The sky is done in grays, blues, and shades of spruce clouds.
Mounted on brushed aluminum with two (2) riveted hooks in the back, making the piece very secure.  The panel may look heavy, but it is less than 5 lbs.
